13.07.2009 "the song of her nights"

her eyes are wide as she sits alone,
knees tucked into her chest.
the legs that once ran and played,
now serve as her sheild.
but what is there to be protected from?
she is safe in her room alone.
no. it is her mind. with that is danger.
the thoughts that peirce her head,
play over and over as the blade pierces her skin.
the makeup that hides her sad eyes,
runs down her cheeks,.
pink yet pale from the fury within,
they hide behind an arm wrapped around,
the face she is ashamed to own.
her regrets and disgust for the things she has done,
feed her self disdain.
its too much to handle.
she cant deal with it tonight.
so she'll just sit and stare at the wall.
and hope the tears will blur her vision,
of the wrecked life that is in her hands.
